N-Control racing races expensive, high-maintenance toy cars. They will be putting on a race benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central & South Texas on February 6, 2010. Expect an amazing collection of raffle items, giveaways, and some unusual fun stuff. There will be an entry fee of $20 with $8 of each entry going toward the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The race will be held at N-Control Raceway at 15010 Ranch Road 620, Austin, Texas 78717. Swishes for Wishes Presented by Chi Omega– San Marcos

The Texas State chapter of Chi Omega is hosting Swishes for Wishes, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament Saturday, November 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Texas State Recreation Center. Admission is $1. That fee is automatically put in a drawing for half of the ticket sales of the event. A knock-out tournament will be held during half-time. The entry fee is $5. The winner receives half of the knock-out entry fees. Event proceeds will benefit the Make-A-Wish foundation of Central & South Texas. McCoy Family Christmas Light Show

The McCoy family has generously volunteered to keep a Make-A-Wish donation box at 8304 Roan Lane in Austin November 28, 2009 - January 1, 2010. The McCoy’s home is decorated with over 30,000 lights set to dance to holiday music which is played through car stereos when tuned to 91.1 FM. The show happens nightly beginning around 5:30 p.m. and running until 10:30 p.m. Each light cycle lasts approximately 25 minutes.
