Joel Marion, Josh Bezoni and BioTrust Nutrition recognized for
raising more than $500,000 for Make-A-Wish®

Austin, TX (February 5th, 2015)

It’s a simple question that every BioTrust Nutrition customer is asked: Would you like to donate to help grant the wish of a child battling a life-threatening medical condition through our alliance with Make-A-Wish®?

Often, the answer is yes.

BioTrust Nutrition co-founders Joel Marion and Josh Bezoni are committed to helping millions of people live healthier lives, and giving back is part of the company’s core values. Over the past 16 months, through the generosity of BioTrust Nutrition customers, they have raised more than $500,000 through corporate giving and by asking this simple question at checkout.

“Our customers are committed to living healthier lifestyles, and we’re honored that they share our enthusiasm for helping wish kids who fight for their health every day,” Marion said.

BioTrust Co-Founder with Wish Child

Bezoni has been a supporter of Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas – one of 61 Make-A-Wish chapters nationwide – for years, and when BioTrust Nutrition launched, he knew he wanted to find a way to give back.

“Health and strength go hand in hand,” Bezoni said. “These kids have been through some incredible challenges. Every time I meet a wish kid, I’m inspired by their will, and the additional strength a wish can provide.”

According to a 2011 U.S. study of wish impact, 89% of doctors, nurses, social workers & child life specialists believe the wish experience can influence wish kids’ health.

“The impact that a wish has on the lives of wish kids around the U.S. and around the world is immeasurable, and we appreciate the support of companies like BioTrust Nutrition that help make them possible,” said David Williams, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish America. “We know that a wish-come-true can make wish kids feel better, and in some cases, get better as they battle life-threatening medical conditions.”

About Make-A-Wish® Central & South Texas

Make-A-Wish grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.  According to a 2011 U.S. study of wish impact, most health professionals surveyed believe a wish-come-true can have positive impacts on the health of children.  Kids say wishes give them renewed strength to fight their illness, and their parents say these experiences help strengthen the entire family.  With the help of generous donors and more than 250 volunteers, Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas has granted more than 3,900 wishes to children in 40 counties since 1984.  During the last year, volunteers and donors made it possible for 233 kids to experience the magic of a wish.  For more information about Make-A-Wish, visit www.cstx.wish.org.
