World Wish Day honors the anniversary of the wish granted to a boy named Chris, who wished to be a police officer. Granting his wish inspired the creation of Make-A-Wish® and sparked a global wish-granting movement. Every 37 minutes, Make-A-Wish grants the wish of a child with a life-threatening medical condition somewhere in the world. Globally, more than 250,000 wishes have been granted since 1980. Make-A-Wish is now active in 35 countries.
Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas commemorates World Wish Day with a celebration of wishes past, present and future at Morgan’s Wonderland in San Antonio, Texas each year.
This year the event will held on Sunday, April 30th.
Current and alumni wish kids, donors, volunteers and supporters of Make-A-Wish are invited for a private event that includes food, fun and music.
Join us for the celebration and be inspired by our brave and amazing Wish Kids!
This event is free, but not open to the public.
Please let us know you are coming -- RSVP here.
