World Wish Day

World Wish Day

April 29, 2012

RSVP for World Wish Day Now!

World Wish Day honors the anniversary of the wish granted to a boy named Chris, who wished to be a police officer. Granting his wish inspired the creation of the Make-A-Wish Foundation® and sparked a global wish-granting movement. Every 25 minutes, the Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wish of a child with a life threatening medical condition somewhere in the world. Globally, more than 240,000 wishes have been granted since 1980. The Make-A-Wish Foundation is now active in 35 countries.

World Wish Day 2012 will take place at Morgan’s Wonderland on April 29, 2012! Please view the Sponsorship Packet for more information.

On April 29, 2011, we celebrated World Wish Day 2011, the 31st anniversary of Chris’ wish. The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central & South Texas commemorated World Wish Day with a celebration of wishes past, present and future at Morgan’s Wonderland in San Antonio. Current and alumni wish kids, donors, volunteers and supporters of both the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Morgan’s Wonderland were invited for a private event that included food, fun, music and the granting of one special wish!
