When it comes to raising funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation®, the only limit is your imagination.
Kids For Wish Kids®
Kids For Wish Kids is an extremely popular program for kids because it is managed by kids. The kids are responsible for forming committees, coming up with fundraising ideas, and carrying them out. Teachers and parents often serve as advisors, but ownership of the group belongs solely to the kids involved.
The opportunities available for fundraising activities through the Kids For Wish Kids program are endless. Anything from a parking space sale, to a dance marathon, or student/teacher basketball game - it’s all up to the students’ imagination.
Adopt-A-Wish®
It costs an average of $5,000 to grant a magical wish. With your help, we can send Bobby and his family to Walt Disney World® Resort, buy Rhonda a home computer, allow Jimmy to meet Michael Jordan, or let Jennifer be a ballerina for a day. A company, employee group, professional or civic club, or group of friends can adopt a wish by making a direct donation or holding a fundraiser.As adopters, you can be as active in the wish as you’d like. You can meet your special wish child. You can see them off at the airport or be part of the team that delivers that computer they’ve been dreaming about. You can make magic happen in the life of a child who hasn’t been feeling very magical lately.
Events
Events are organized by outside parties to benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central & South Texas. Event sponsors vary from individuals, companies and corporations, kids groups, community groups and just about anyone who has a great idea for a fundraiser. Some of the unique and special community events that have been organized include golf tournaments, motorcycle rides, car shows, softball tournaments, bowling tournaments and silent auctions. The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and South Texas asks that all events raise a minimum of $5,000 to be considered by the Foundation. Please view our upcoming calendar of events here.
