Winthrop Management LP Grants Kilana’s Wish to go to the Walt Disney World® Resort!
Austin, TX (March 5, 2015)
Winthrop Management LP and the company’s employees recently granted the wish of Wish Kid Kilana to go to the Walt Disney World Resort. Kilana is a nine-year-old from Round Rock with a brain tumor.
The company hosted Kilana’s departure party at their company on October 11th, which also kicked off the year-long 30th birthday celebration for Make-A-Wish® Central & South Texas. Her wish was made possible from the support of the Winthrop Property Management staff where Kilana’s father is employed and the Austin Apartment Association.

This year Make-A-Wish® Central & South Texas celebrates its 30th Birthday – a special celebration of three decades of wish granting in our 40-county territory and an opportunity to honor donors, volunteers and other supporters who have helped to share the power of a wish®.
About Make-A-Wish® Central & South Texas
Make-A-Wish grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. According to a 2011 U.S. study of wish impact, most health professionals surveyed believe a wish-come-true can have positive impacts on the health of children. Kids say wishes give them renewed strength to fight their illness, and their parents say these experiences help strengthen the entire family.
With the help of generous donors and more than 250 volunteers, Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas has granted more than 3,900 wishes to children in 40 counties since 1984. During the last year, volunteers and donors made it possible for 233 kids to experience the magic of a wish.
