Special or Group Projects
Volunteering as a group or company team encourages team building, can improve employee morale, and can help employees understand how your company gives back, and fosters pride in our organization. A typical group/team project could entail working on a mailer to send to a wish kid or family, donor, board member or volunteer, and assembling trip packets to families about to go on their wish. We can generally host groups throughout the weekday depending on the time of year, day, group size and project availability). We are also open to assessing your team’s volunteer interest to create a custom experience. We ask groups to contribute $10 per person that goes towards granting more wishes . Your support also helps us buy materials necessary for projects you’ll be working during your serve day.
Volunteers help with events sponsored by community organizations for the benefit of Make-A-Wish, as well as with the major events organized by the staff. Duties can include registration of participants, selling tickets, raffle tickets or items, hosting an information table, helping with silent auctions, set up and clean up, and more!
